Financial reports
Monthly packs are a PDF in email, a model in someone's desktop, and a 'final' tab that is not the one presented. Approval status is a meeting, so last month's numbers get resent as current.
Hypervault stores report type, period, key figures, and the file in an encrypted EU vault, with permissions for finance and the leaders who are allowed to see that pack.
Why store Financial reports in a digital vault
Period is in the email subject
Search fails across FY naming. Report type, period, and date as fields make the archive usable.
Key figures are only inside the PDF
Nobody can scan revenue or cash without opening the file. Key figures on the item are the preview finance needs.
Approval is a spoken 'looks good'
Draft and approved packs mix. Approval status on the vault item is the gate before distribution.
The model and the pack live apart
Attachments should include both the narrative PDF and the supporting workbook under the same item.
Who uses this template
FP&A and controllers
File each pack with period, key figures, and approval status in the vault.
CFO office
Open the approved report without a chain of 'see attached' forwards.
Audit support
Retrieve a period's pack from the EU vault instead of reconstructing a mailbox.
Fields in this template
Keep every record complete and easy to find. Existing fields stay as they are; extras are added only when a vault item would otherwise be incomplete.
