Free trial

Can we use Hypervault for free?
We offer a free 14-day trial period, with no limits on features. The only exception is the option to register and login with the itsme authentication app, but this feature is available to Belgian citizens only.
Do we need to enter credit card details for the free trial?
No, we don't ask for credit card details when you start a trial. Also the type of plan (monthly or yearly) only needs to be selected when you're ready to upgrade.
Can I invite my team to join during the free trial period?
Yes, there are no limitations whatsoever during the free trial period.
Can we invite users outside of my organization during the free trial period?
Yes, there are no limitations whatsoever during the free trial period. You can invite unlimited users, create teams and store unlimited vault items.
When the free trial period ends, how can we convert to a premium license?
We’ll send you an email with a timely reminder that your free trial period is expiring. In the application, under the License & Billing tab, you can enter your credit card details.
If the free trial ends and I don't want to buy a license, what will happen to my data?
Workspaces without an active subscription will be automatically deleted after 3 months.

Features and usage

Can we request new features?
Yes, and we encourage you to do so. Hypervault’s roadmap is based on your feature requests, wether you are a customer or not. Obviously, the number of votes for a specific feature will influence our decision on what comes first.
Can I use Hypervault for my own private or family use?
Yes absolutely. While Hypervault was designed for businesses but none of these will prevent you from using it for private stuff or with your family.
Can I have more than one workspace?
You can use the same email address to create or log in to multiple workspaces. We’ve made sure that’s possible especially for freelancers or people working for multiple clients. Bare in mind though that data can’t be transfered between workspaces and that every license is for one workspace only.
In which languages is Hypervault available?
For the time being, English only. We’re looking into more languages but right now it’s not on our roadmap.
Is Hypervault available as a mobile app?
Not yet but it’s on our roadmap. We’re not in a position though to communicate on a timeframe for release. Even if we could, we can’t.
Does Hypervault also offer an on premises version instead of a cloud version?

As a paying customer, will we be entitled to all future updates and features?
For the short term, yes. But while we have no plans to change this, it is possible though that in the longer term we might introduce some premium features which might mean we’ll have to review our current pricing and come up with different price plans.

Like any company, we are subject to changes in the market and adjust our prices when appropriate. Our prices will always be in line with the value of our services.

In any case, we will always inform you in advance of any planned price changes. This gives you the opportunity to express any objections (and – if no other solution is possible – to terminate your contract).
Can we have a look into your roadmap?
We are considering sharing our product roadmap but for the time being we don’t. We have a number of really cool and useful features coming up and even more ideas for the longer term, but while we recognize the importance of each of these, we keep a security first approach to all new features that we consider. That means we need more time to analyse and design each of these before they are being developed and then tested.

That being said, we strongly encourage you to share your thoughts and request the features you need!

Security and privacy

Will our data be secure?
Absolutely. Hypervault uses a next generation zero-knowledge security architecture. This ensures that only you have access to your data. Nobody else, not even Hypervault staff has access. We’ve implemented AES-256 bit encryption with PBKDF2 SHA-256 and per-user salted hashes to ensure complete security in the cloud. More information is available on our security page.
Are you complying with the GDPR and do you guarantee the privacy of all our data?
Hypervault is developed and owned by GTS Data bv, a Belgian company, with HQ in Belgium and subject to Belgian law. Hypervault therefor fully complies with Belgian and European Union GDPR laws and guidelines.
As a user, can i export my personal data?
Yes, you can do so from your account settings.

Payment & billing

Which payment options are accepted?
We accept all major credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Sepa Direct Debit, Bancontact, iDeal
Do you offer different price plans?
No. We’re keeping things simple and not creating different price plans with different feature sets. All our customers are paying the exact same monthly price per user, multiplied by the number of users within their organization. We encourage annual subscriptions though as they come with a 25% (!) discount and simplify the hassle with invoices.
Do you offer an annual payment option?
When you subscribe, you can opt for annual instead of monthly payments. Annual payments come with a 25% discount so we encourage you to consider it. Also, even when you opted for monthly payments, it’s easy to switch to annual payments at any time.
Can I sign up for just one user?
Yes of course. We offer a lot of features that are meant for teams but nothing prevents you from subscribing for just a single user. Along with the Workspaces features that’s especially interesting for freelancers.
Do we need a license for all the employees of the company?
Not at all. You just need a license for those who need access to Hypervault.
I wish to add extra users. Can I do so from my account?
The account admin or “manager” can easily add extra users to the organizations’ workspace. If there aren’t enough licenses available for the total amount of users, you will be notified in the application.
Do you offer discounts for non-profit organizations or education?
We sure do. Send an email to along with the number of licenses you need and we’ll look into it.
We want to invite users outside of our organization. Will they need to pay for a license?
You can easily invite external users to access one or more folders within your workspace. The great thing is that they won’t need to pay and have their own license! That’s especially interesting when for example you want to either share sensitive data with a client in a safe way, or when you want to collect sensitive data from them in a safe way.

Can we always cancel our subscription?
Well… we’d hate to see you leave of course but, yes, you can easily cancel your subscription under your account settings.
Can we cancel automatic renewal of our license?
You can easily cancel your account from the account settings panel. In such case, licenses won’t be renewed at the end of the term (monthly or annual) you signed up for. From the account settings you can also opt to delete your workspace. This will also end the automatic renewal of your license.
What is your refund policy like?
We offer a free trial with no limitations on features. For that same reason, once you sign up for premium plan, we can’t offer any refunds.
What happens with our data when we cancel our account?
All users within the organization will lose access to their data, with the exception of the account admin or “manager” who will be granted a period of 120 days to re-activate the account should he wish to do so. By the end of that period, if your account or workspace has not been re-activated, the account will be automatically deleted from our server along with all data that was stored in the account.

From the account settings you can also opt to manually delete your workspace. We encourage you to do so when you cancel your account and are sure you won’t need to re-activate it later.

Can we resell Hypervault to our clients?
Yes you sure can. Best thing to do is to contact us through the form on our contact page. On our Partners page, you’ll find more about the different partnership options we offer.
Can we become an affiliate partner?
Sure thing! With our affiliate program you can earn commissions for each new clients that subscribes through an affiliate link or banners on your website. There are no extra costs for you. We’re also offering co-marketing / branding partnerships and will gladly look into ways to improve our partnership to meet your clients needs. Don’t hesitate to contact us by email

In our company, i'm not entitled to accept your End User License Agreement. I need to run this through our Legal Dept. first. How can we tackle this?
Not a problem. Just send an email to and give us the name and email address of the right person within your organisation. We’ll send them a copy of the EULA right away. Once we get this back duly signed, we’ll be able to activate your Hypervault account and you’ll be good to go.
